Re-Ment ~ Rilakkuma Homemade Cooking!

Today's Re-Ment set to be featured on this blog will be the Rilakkuma Homemade Cooking set! Look at the spread!

This set was released on Oct. 21, 2013. The collection features homemade desserts in Rilakkuma's kitchen! Look at all the delicious treats!

There are 8 different sets, and all of them are associated with the warmth and cosy-ness of cooking in your kitchen in the fall!

Let's take a closer look at each set!

#1 - Strawberry Jam
What can be more fun than making your own strawberry jam in a big pot with Kiiroitori by your side? Love the Rilakkuma design on the pot, the little Rilakkuma head as the handle, and the Rilakkuma-shaped ramekin! Not to forget, the little Rilakkuma head in the middle of the wooden spoon!

#2 - Apple Pie
Nothing says fall like a good old apple pie! Even better because it's shaped like Rilakkuma! There's also a little wooden shelf with a bear-head jar... Cinnamon sugar maybe?

#3 - Berry-flavoured Mousse
Berry-flavoured mousse would be a sweet treat any time of year! Look at the amazing Rilakkuma detail on the glass bowl and the spatula handle! Did you see the little cherry bunch in Korilakkuma's ear?

#4 - Pound Cake and Recipe Book
Pound cake shaped like Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori sounds tasty! Pair it with some honey from the Rilakkuma bottle maybe? That thick recipe book should contain lots of great ideas for your next baking adventure!

#5 - Berry Tart and Teapot
Rilakkuma sure loves his tea! Look at the bright red Rilakkuma teapot! Which is your favourite kind of tea? I'm sure any kind of tea will go well with that bear-shaped berry tart! Look at all the puff pastry layers! Mmm!

#6 - Baumkuchen and Hot Cocoa
This special cake is easily recognizable with the many layers of batter forming what looks like tree rings! Pair it with some hot cocoa by the fireplace - perfect for a cold autumn night! Love the intricate label on the hot cocoa tin!

#7 - Weighing Scale and Sweet Potato
This seem like a kind of sweet potato bun, which sounds delightful to me, especially with a pat of butter! Look at that old-school weighing scale; do you still use those? Again, loving all the Rilakkuma details on it!

#8 - Cookies and Kettle
How about an afternoon snack with some Rilakkuma-shaped lemon cookies and raspberry tea? It looks like someone went to pick fresh berries with the little basket! And the blue kettle with the wooden handle, I haven't seen one like that in real life! That kettle is the cutest!

There you have it, the delectable pastries and treats from Rilakkuma's warm, rustic kitchen! Which one was your favourite?

This set was so amazing, I can't pick a favourite! I really love all the kitchenware, I wish they existed in my real-life kitchen! My favourite pastries would have to be the berry tart and the pound cake!

See you next week for another Re-Ment set collection! Which one would you like to see?

Introduction to The Miniature Corner

Hello everybody! Welcome to The Miniature Corner!

My name is Nikki and I love miniatures. Everything is so much cuter when a dozen times smaller than real life!

I've always enjoyed miniatures since I was young, playing with the Sylvanian Families' birthday picnic set. I remember those little croissants on the little plates, the tiny spice jars on the spice rack~ Ah, the memories!

In recent years, I was exposed to Japanese Re-Ment sets, which are miniature toy sets with specific themes. They are the cutest things ever! Some characters incorporated into the sets include Rilakkuma, Hello Kitty, Snoopy, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, and many more!

It is my dream to own them all and have them on display in my house, but hey, I don't have the money to pursue this dream of mine! Buying all the Re-Ment sets, buying display cases, actually having a house big enough to display them all ... that will probably cost loads and loads of money!

Instead of spending money on buying them and keeping them in boxes where they will never see the light of day, I decided to have a digital collection instead! I mean, I can virtually own them if I collect pictures of them in one place and look at them whenever I want! I can even share my collection with anyone I wish!

Even though it will not be the same as owning the physical Re-Ment sets, a digital collection will do for now! I don't have to worry about how much I am spending on my collections and where I am going to place all of them~

I decided that, aside from Re-Ment sets, my collection will include any miniature manufactured toys (not handmade items) that look cute or appealing to me!

I hereby welcome you join me on this wonderful digital collecting journey with me! I plan to post a new collection once a week, on Fridays~ Mini Fridays!

Let my collection begin on The Miniature Corner!
